DAC Awnings, then named Durham Awning Company, was formed in 1942 when Lendon Brantley risked it all to begin a business structured on quality and service. That business still exists today on those same principles through his son, Bill Brantley. Through the last years of Lendon’s life, it was Bill who helped take the business from a local shop to a regional manufacturer and supplier. The current 25,000 square foot, full-service facility stands as a memorial to Lendon’s quest in providing quality and service within the awning industry. And I, Geoff Brantley, know that my grandfather would be proud of my father’s work to maintain the standards and principles he started this business on.
